Botox Injection Las Vegas

Ariana Cosmetic is a top clinic for patients seeking botox injections in Las Vegas. Botox injections are a popular cosmetic procedure choice for Las Vegas men and women since it is the perfect minimally-invasive way to look instantly younger. Botox injections have now been around for over a decade, and are a safe solution for Las Vegas residents who want to eliminate forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet. Botox injections work by temporarily paralyzing or weakening small muscles in the face that are responsible for the contractions that cause wrinkles. Once these muscles can no longer contract regularly, the wrinkles that are on the face slowly go back to smooth, flat surfaces of skin. Early Botox injections might have earned a bad reputation for eliminating expression, making a person’s face look blank.  However, thanks to Ariana Cosmetic’s highly trained Las Vegas cosmetic surgeons, our patients are guaranteed to always look beautiful and natural after their Botox injections.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults younger than 65 years of age for a short period of time (temporary).

Where does it come from?

Botox® comes from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Most of us recognize this toxin as botulism, which is a form of food poisoning. One of the most dangerous complications of botulism is paralysis.

But scientists have discovered a way to use this to our advantage. By injecting diluted and minute amounts directly into certain muscles, they can cause controlled weakening of the muscle. The result is reducing the signs of aging and wrinkles.

What is it used for?

This use of botulinum was FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved in the late 80's. Scientists realized that with this controlled injection they could:

* Reduce moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows
* Reduce wrinkles around the eyes (crow's feet)
* Restore facial contour
* Reduce bands of wrinkles on the neck

They can also treat such ailments as:

* Blepharospasm (uncontrollable blinking)
* Strabismus (lazy eyes)
* Chronic back and other muscle spasms

* Headaches
* Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)

How does it work?

Botox® blocks nerve signals from reaching the muscles. The muscle injected can no longer contract. This causes wrinkles to soften and relax.

Most procedures are performed right in the doctor's office. Each procedure takes only a few minutes and no anesthesia is required. Some results are visible immediately. But, the full effect is seen after 3-7 days. Most Botox® treatments last for four to six months.

Your plastic surgeon may recommend that you refrain from any alcohol consumption for one week prior to your treatment. You should also avoid anti-inflammatory medications and aspirin for two weeks prior to your treatment. These substances tend to contribute to more bruising after a Botox® treatment.

BOTOX® is injected into the skin to treat the symptoms of severe underarm sweating (severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis) when medicines used on the skin (topical) do not work well enough. When severe underarm sweating gets in the way of your daily activities and antiperspirants haven’t worked, you may be a candidate for BOTOX® treatment.

Once you understand how this condition may affect you, schedule a visit to a dermatologist to discuss products and treatment options that are right for you.
